About Jimmy Gilmore

I am a writer/director and also founder and partner of Fluid Films.

I’ve worked in advertising since 1995 after being hired by Riddell Advertising and Design in Jackson Hole, Wyoming during my final semester at Portfolio Center. Most of my early experience came working at creative shops on the west coast before returning to my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The majority of my work has been on the creative side, usually with the title copywriter, director, creative director or even just creative. Working at a lot of smaller shops, I’ve worn many hats including strategist, producer,  social media guy, video editor, director, and photographer. Honestly, I enjoy them all – which is good since I’m a small business owner.

This site

Please think of this site as an experiment as well as a resource. I will constantly change the way it looks, I will add and subtract tools, and I will experiment with new ways to promote it. You may come here one day to find it radically different. And then the next day it will be right back to what it looked like before. This may cause a few broken links from time to time — for that I apologize.

This site is hosted by Page.ly. And I’m an affiliate because they make WordPress so easy, lightening servers, and their service is solid.

This site is not for or about making money. It’s about me sharing, learning and experimenting. I may link a book or something else with a Amazon affiliate link, but I won’t do that unless I’m actually recommend it.

Lastly, this is a professional blog so you won’t find pictures of my family or stories about my vacation here. Lucky you.
